Just like that, it’s December and surely I can’t be the only one who thinks the year has flown by? That being said this year has brought with it a whole lot of great collabs, new brands hitting the ground running and a whole lot of Winter essentials.

10 Items We Loved In October
It’s the first newsletter and the first day of the month, so what better way to start with a round-up of our October favourites?
There are a lot of great products in our last list which you should definitely know about in conjunction with November’s list.
Let’s get stuck into our favourites from last month!
10. OSH ALPACA WOOL BLEND KNIT
This knit is Fall/Winter in a nutshell, the Alpaca blend means it’s extremely soft to the touch. Sometimes when it comes to knits, having too many options isn’t just unrealistic to wear them all but the first thing that comes to mind is storage. As much as I love knits, I want ones that I know I can get the wear out of and can easily throw in my bag when travelling. This black and white blend is that perfect amount of wearability while not being too plain.
9. PALACE X OAKLEY CLOUD PUFFER
November is usually the first month after the last Winter when you really feel like you need a big coat to keep you warm. This month just gone was no exception.
Towards the end of the month saw a cold spell (well in the UK at least!) Now if you already have a big winter coat then the majority of you will have more of a plain go-to coat that you may have had for years. If you were looking for something a bit different then this was a great pick for last month’s release.
8. SONG FOR THE MUTE X ADIDAS COUNTRY OG
These have been teased for a while now and I think these were slept on when they were released earlier in November. Available in Black, Brown and Red. Not only have I always been a fan of the Country OG silhouette, but this collaboration in particular was executed perfectly with the use of pony hair across the upper.
7. HIKING PATROL SOFT SHELL TROUSER
Always find it difficult to purchase trousers over the colder months and when I came across these by Hiking Patrol, there was no doubt in my mind and I purchased them as soon as I tried them on in-store. Why? Well, the trousers are made out of a water-repellent material with a soft brushed inner which provides additional comfort and most importantly warmth. I’m a big fan of the balance of contemporary style and functionality making them the perfect trousers this month.
6. NEW BALANCE 1906L
Who thought a loafer shape on a trainer sole would work? New Balance did and whether you love or hate these, rest assured that ultimately these are the perfect shoes for a lot of people, including myself. These gained a LOT of attention when I posted online.
New Balance are not the first to release a hybrid loafer but they are the first to push them in to a larger market.
5. SAN SAN GEAR X ADVANCED RESEARCH
The EAST MEET EAST collection draws inspiration from the shared history of division experienced by South Korea and East Germany, reimagining the Rain Camouflage ‘Strichtarn’ with the Advanced Research blue brand colour throughout. I have been really looking forward to seeing the release since seeing the first pictures and the collaboration has been perfectly executed.
This collection was revealed earlier in the year at Paris Fashion Week and finally released via The Spaces Inbetween store and features a technical rain jacket with an asymmetrical zipper running across the body, detachable lined full-face covering ear flap cap, multi-pocket waterproof pants a utilitarian vest bag.
4. DIEMME ROCCIA SUEDE BOOTS
When I think of Fall/Winter, the first thing that comes to mind is boots. Specifically hiker boots. This pair from Diemme is a perfect example of this and a pair which is timeless. Boots can be expensive and you should always shop around when looking to invest in a pair for Winter.
There are many options to choose from but if you want an all round pair that you can wear with everything and most importantly be comfortable then this is a great option for you. The Brown suede upper creates a perfect blend of functionality and style.
3. GOLDWIN PERTEX QUANTUM DOWN PARKA
It’s definitely puffer season now and this coat by Japanese brand Goldwin just keeps popping up. We included this in our 30 Coats That Are Guaranteed To Keep You Warm post. Aesthetically I’m a fan of the beige colour however, I have heard from people who have bought it in this colour that the material is easily marked. With a coat like this which I am using for more functional reasons and it being more difficult to just throw in a washing machine, I think the grey is a much better option.
2. HOKA X SATISFY MAFATE 4 SPEED LITE
These were another exciting release in November and the one that transported me back in time when you actually got to see the demand for such a great shoe.
After the successful release of the previous collaboration of the similar, but lighter ‘Rubber’ colourway and the more outgoing ‘Sulfur’ greenish yellow, it became apparent how wearable this shoe is. Labelled as a trail running shoe, it actually is a pair that I would wear daily and be able to do so with ease. Again, these days I go into the headspace of thinking about, if I was travelling and could only take 2 or 3 shoes what would I take? No surprise, these would 100% be coming with me.
1. HARTCOPY X ADIDAS BW ARMY
Now for what I believe is being the best this month. These were released earlier in the year but in very limited quantities via the HARTCOPY store and most people if not the majority didn’t get a chance to purchase them. I was very lucky to grab them on the initial release and this is the primary reason for them being on the list as I know how much I have worn them since.
HARTCOPY announced the restocking of the shoe in November via their website and at pop-up locations in Manchester & Tokyo and have since announced availability via the adidas confirmed app using an ‘access code’
These have come with me everywhere since I got them, every trip for every occasion. I always loved a full white leather shoe but as time went on the options were limited, especially for pairs that didn’t break the bank. The HC X BW Army is a shoe for everyone and the premium materials used across are unmatched for the price point.
The satisfy hoka’s are too good 🤌🏼
