10 Items We Loved Last Week (Spring is on it's way)
Including brands such as Nonnative, Grenson, Duke + Dexter, Stussy, Stone Island & much more!
It’s still feeling pretty chilly out there at the moment, well, especially in the UK. However, as we keep edging towards Spring brands are releasing their new Spring/Summer collections for 2025 and this is when I get excited to start wearing lighter layers and a bit more colour.
This week's list is all of the above. New product, with lighter materials but still functional enough for those colder days.
Right, let’s get straight into this because these are pieces you definitely want to know about -
BRIGADE SASHIKO QUILTED FLANNEL SHIRT
As far as flannel shirts go, this one stands out from the rest. Shirts like this have become staples in most closets, especially for people who enjoy vintage stores. However, the closer you look, there is something a lot more interesting than meets the eye.

Double layered, hand-painted flannel shirt with a sashiko style embroidered quilting which creates more than just a flannel shirt, but rather a conversation starter.

GRENSON X YMC OXFORD SHOES
When I first posted about these Grenson x YMC Oxford shoes a few weeks ago, I struggled to get them out of my mind. But the simple fact is, these are too good to not appreciate. My memories of Oxford shoes growing up were that of my grandparents, they would always dress up smart typically in a suit and 100% a crisp, freshly shined pair of Oxfords. There is something so classic about the silhouette that just oozes traditional style.

Yet, with this pair, they have been brought into a more wearable 21st-century style. The concealed laces and squared toe box create more of the impression of a boot rather than a formal shoe but as you look closer the details become more and more clear. This for me is a shoe that fits effortlessly into my wardrobe. Nothing like it and nothing that would never need to replace it. A shoe that would last a lifetime.

NONNATIVE STRANGER LONG COAT WITH GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER
If you don’t already know about the brand Nonnative then let this be the piece that opens you into a world of even more incredible offerings. The brand is based out of Tokyo and was founded by Satoshi Saffen combining the durability of work and outdoor wear with contemporary style.

In my opinion, everyone needs to have a beige Mac-style coat. They are so versatile and are the perfect garment for the in-between seasons. The lighter colour palette helps to break up outfits and can simply elevate a fit with its more formal appearance. This particular one is very practical when it comes to having the gore-tex windstopper material which offers protection from the cold without being overly heavy.
DUKE + DEXTER VIBRAM CARRARMATO LUG LOAFER
I don’t think there will be ever a time that I don’t talk about Duke + Dexter Loafers.
The brand took the traditional penny loafer and paired it with more modern features and designs to create a footwear collection that has become a noticeable statement.

Now what's better than a loafer?
A LOAFER YOU CAN WEAR ANY DAY, ANY OCCASION & IN ANY TERRAIN.
Duke + Dexter’s Vibram lug loafer has been a long time coming. The Carrarmato Sole has been serving mountaineering boots since 1937 and has now found itself paired with the Classic D+D Wilde silhouette.
STUDIO NICHOLSON TOWA ORGANIC COTTON JACKET
The team at Studio Nicholson has me looking forward to Spring with this beautiful jacket. The brand take on the classic workwear jacket features a corduroy collar, while a snap-fastening throat latch allows it to be adjusted for added warmth during those colder evenings.

Just like the above Mac-style coat, I believe a workwear jacket like this is all so essential for the wardrobe. It’s one of those grab-and-go jackets that matches everything.
OUR LEGACY DRIP BAG
Our Legacy always seems to manage to squeeze itself into these lists, and this drip bag is just a nice plain bag with butterfly embroidered motifs across the front.
100% cotton Italian denim with a reinforced handle, it can be worn across the body or over the shoulder. I’m a big fan of denim bags lately, I’m not sure if it’s just the mixture of them being lightweight and easy to style with most outfits (just like a pair of jeans) that draws me towards them or because I feel like they pack away easily when you’re not using them. Either way, the motifs just add a touch of character and I’m a fan of how this sits when wearing it cross-body.

POMPEII MODENA LEATHER MULTI CANVAS
Staying on the theme of smart footwear, we have the Nappa leather moccasin from Pompeii.
As you can probably already tell, I have a soft spot for loafers especially for people who don’t want to have multiple pairs of sneakers and want a clean classic everyday look.

STUSSY X DENIM TEARS CANVAS JACKET
When I first saw this I didn’t think anything more of it than how I would normally view workwear pieces. But the closer and longer I took to digest the collaboration, particularly this jacket, I started to really appreciate the design.
Denim Tears is not a brand that I would normally endorse as I’m not a big fan of oversized repetitive branding. However this jacket has been executed well, the Stussy branding on the rear which uses the Denim Tears recognisable design is quite tame.
All so a jacket like this is what I can just see ageing so well. Like, imagine looking back at this piece in the next ten years.

LE FLEUR BAMBI TOTE
There is no denying this is a crazy bag. The name says it all really.
The main attraction to this piece other than the animal print is the actual size, as you can see above.
For me, a big durable, throw-over-the-shoulder bag is so much more needed than you would think. Currently, I rock with an oversized black leather one at the moment, but if you were looking for something a bit more out there then this would be it.

STONE ISLAND UV REACTIVE SWEATER
Whenever Stone Island releases any products with their colour-changing materials I feel like it’s just an instant hit. Typically you’re going to see ‘heat reactive’ which uses polyurethane film that is thermo-sensitive and changes color based on the temperature.

This chain-stitched sweater on the other hand is crafted from thick nylon rope with advanced UV-reactive pigments that alter the colour when exposed to sunlight.
Heavy knit with a heavy price tag.
